Job Summary:
The Store manager is responsible for day-to-day store operations, including scheduling, training, and supervising employees and assistant manager. The Store manager is responsible for the store profits, and all controllable expenses including labor, inventory levels, and cash and inventory shortages. To be eligible for this position you must be at least 21 years of age. Managers work Monday-Friday and must respond to the store in the evenings and weekends as needed. 



List of Responsibilities

  • Responsible for hiring, disciplinary action, and termination of employees.
  • Manage and supervise all store employees to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
  • Promote and resolve customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept.
  • Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner.
  • Interact with the Service/Maintenance department to keep the store/station operating.
  • Respond to email and phone communications involving store operations and HR requests or requirements.
  • Complete daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner as established by management.
  • Follow and enforce all Company Policies and Established Procedures in the store Operations
  • Implement Monthly promotions, ensure all POS advertising/signage is properly posted at the proper time.
  • Communicate and perform all price changes with the Price Book Administrator and Operations Manager.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure and demanding environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed.


Qualifications/ Skills :

  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience managing or supervising Convenience Stores, Fueling Stations, Food Service locations, Retail stores and have supervised 25 or more employees.
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and marketing strategies
  • Proven ability to manage store operations, staff, and budgets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Education / Experience: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Computer Skills: to perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge or the ability to gain knowledge of Paychex Payroll systems, Excel spreadsheet software, Outlook and Microsoft Word. 


Salary is $55,000-$70,000 Depending on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
A person in this position is accountable for advising customers on selection of plants and methods of planting and cultivation. Create crop input plans for customers. Assist customers with product portfolio, including the introduction of new products and systems. Scout fields for weeds, pests, and insects. Suggests seed and treatment suitable for specified growing conditions. Knowledge of customer/prospect base, key growers, competition (including competitive products, crops, processors, and key industry influencers. Set clear expectations with customer on terms of sale, price, and delivery Sales of chemical, fertilizer, seed, and precision Ag products. Prepares sales slip. Receives payment or obtains credit authorization. Coordinate’s delivery of product for customer. Promotes new merchandise to customers. Maintain and increase current clients. Takes inventory of stock.

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

• Ability to identify common weeds, pests, and insects.

• Strong knowledge of chemical, fertilizer, and seed.

• Excellent work ethic

• Ability to read field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers.

HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE:

Job Description:

  • Complete pre and post trip inspections daily and communicate any necessary maintenance items to the appropriate personnel. Ensure all necessary equipment is always safe to operate.
  • Load, transport and deliver each load in a safe and timely manner.
  • Monitor equipment, loading and unload processes at all times.
  • Complete customer and company paperwork accurately and turn in daily.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Ability to pass regular DOT drug screening, DOT medical examinations and background checks.
  • Minimum of 2 years of agreeable MVR/driving record.
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with all DOT, OSHA and company safety regulations.
  • Keen safety awareness and ethical decision-making skills.
  • Ability to interact with customers, drivers and other co-workers in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Minimal technological aptitude, and the ability to operate and maintain legal electronic or paper log data when needed.
